                            My Village The Gujargarahi

The Name of my village is Gujargarahi in the District of Almora, Post Office Ghatti, Block Bhikyasen, State of  Uttrakhand, India. It is a big village.

About 600 to 700 people live in our village. People of different communities live here. There are 7 to 8 cast. There are present many educated people  in our village. They come to the village only during holidays. Roads in our village can be used  go to the market.

Gujargarahi  is surrounded by hills which are full of dense vegetation and tall trees. The climate in our village is pleasant. Even in summer it is cool. We go to our village when it is summer. We have a big house in our village.

 Around our house there is  all kinds of trees grow. We have grass tree like , Bheemal tree, Bedu, khadik, Baanz, timil, Fayan. 

plants which yield lady’s finger,  cluster-beans,  pumpkin, saber-bean, gourd, radish, cucumber, brinjal, pea, arum, ginger, garlic, turmeric, coriander, king’s cumin, etc.

flowers like Marigold , yellow, white, red and roses, sunflower, gudhal, etc.

We have several acres of Chilli(Mirch) fields, in our village. The yield from the fields is quite good. We sell many bags of Chilli which are surplus. This trading in chilli gives us good income.

A visit to our village during summer is quite pleasant. In the afternoon we sit under the shady trees and talk of our experiences in our town and in our village. Some of us from a town or city advise the youngsters in the village to join a school and study.

Fir gujjar log kuchh samay bad is ilake ko chhodke chale gye. Or 1954 main is ganw main ek Sarpanch-Fakeer singh Aswal or Gramprdhan- Kheem singh Aswal bnaye.

Humare ganw ka shetrfal lagbhag- .7573km square, or yha ki Jansankhya 1954 ke bad lagbhag 600 thi or 1994 ke bad 400 rah gyi or 2011 ke bad 234 rah gyi jisme (male)-103, or (lady)133 total Family 78 to 85 he. Hmare ganw ka temperature summer-35to38 degree, winter-18to20 degree ,Rainy day-180cm to 200cm. Ganw main charo or pani ke srot hain, or jo ki kafi salo se behte a rhe hain yah srot ka pani kab se a rha he iska pta lgana muskil hoga. Iske alwa ganw se dur 2km duri par pakki road he, or ganw ke niche 500m ki duri par road he jo ki aaj present main kafi had tak suvidajank ho gyi he. Humare ganw ke charo or ganw hain jese pas main Nigrali, Falso, Tolkande, Ugaliya, or humari Market Bhatrojkhan iske alwa bhatrojkhan se 25km ki duri par Ranikhet he, 63km ki duri par Ramnagar he.

Humare ganw main alag alag trah ki cast hain jese Fartiyal, Basanal, Arya, Verma, Rautela, Rawat, Aswal. Humre ganw main  alag alag jatiyo ke hone ke bad bhi is ganw main ekta or apnapan suru se bna he. Iske alwa ek dusre ka sath dete aye hain. 

Paltu Janwar: Gay, Bhens, Bel, Bakri, Kutta, Murgi, etc.

Fruits(Fal): Malta, Nimbu, Santra, Amla, Angoor, Anaar (dadim), Akhrot, Kafal, Hishaloo, Kilmora, Mehal, Kela, etc.

Vegetable(sabji): Aaloo, Muli, matar, tamatar, tori, louki, began, bhindi, pyanj, methi, ghaniya, arbee(pinaloo), lahsun, adrak, haldi, beens, etc.
